We know the people we love by their roles. Mother. Grandmother. The one who made Sunday dinner, the one who knew where everything was.

And then one quiet evening it comes to you: you never asked what she dreamed about at twenty. What she was afraid of. Which song she danced to before you existed. How she found the strength for the years she never talks about.

The questions were always there. We just thought there would be more time.

1. A Journal That Asks for Us

A guided "tell me your story" journal does something simple and brave: it asks the questions we don't know how to start. Page by page, it offers small doors into a life: childhood, first loves, hard years, favourite foods, ordinary Tuesdays. She answers in her own handwriting, at her own pace, with her own pauses.

2. A Gift That Comes Back

It is a strange kind of gift, because it is given twice. First you give it to her. Then, one day, it comes back to you, full of her words and her handwriting. That's why I think of it as a gift for the whole family, and for the children who will one day want to know where they come from.

3. Honest Notes

Not everyone likes to write; for some, a blank page feels heavy. If that's her, sit together with tea, ask the questions out loud, and write the answers yourself. Some questions may touch painful places. Skipping a page is always allowed.

4. How to Choose

Read a few of the questions before ordering: light, deep or a mix. Enough space to write matters more than decoration. Some journals have room for photos.

One day, the questions you asked will be the most precious thing you kept.

Is there a question you still want to ask someone you love? You don't have to tell me the answer. Only the question.
