This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit HerWayLife (herwaylife.com) and how it is used. HerWayLife is an independent lifestyle website operated from Georgia.
1. Information We Collect
HerWayLife does not ask you to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information such as your name, address or payment details.
Email updates. If you choose to subscribe to new stories, we collect the email address you enter. It is stored by our hosting provider, Netlify, and used only to send you occasional letters about new stories and videos. We never sell or share it. Every letter includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can ask us to remove your address at any time by writing to [email protected].
If you choose to contact us by email, we will receive your email address and whatever information you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you.
Answers to story questions. At the end of some stories you can share your answer to a question. We receive what you write and, if you choose to give them, your first name and email address. These answers are stored by Netlify, read only by the author, and kept private. We will only share your words on HerWay, anonymously, if you tick the box that allows it. You can ask us to delete your answer at any time by writing to [email protected].
Notes for strangers. On the Notes From Strangers page you can leave a short note for other readers, and optionally the place you are writing from. Notes are read by the author before anything is shared, and are only ever published without names. Please do not include personal details you would not want shared. You can ask us to remove a note at any time.
2. Website Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages are read. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites and does not collect personal information for advertising. It records aggregated, anonymous data such as page views, referring websites, country and device type. You can read more in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
3. Hosting and Fonts
The site is hosted by Netlify, which may process technical information such as your IP address and browser type in server logs to deliver and secure the website. Fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google servers and shares your IP address with Google when a page loads.
4. Affiliate Links and Third-Party Websites
HerWayLife contains affiliate links to Amazon and may include links to other retailers in the future. When you click one of these links, you leave our site, and the retailer may use cookies to record that you arrived through our link so that we can earn a commission. We do not receive any personal information about you or your purchase from Amazon. Please review the privacy policy of any website you visit through our links, including the Amazon Privacy Notice.
5. Embedded Videos
Some pages include videos from our YouTube channel. They are embedded in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which means YouTube does not store information about you when you visit the page. If you choose to play a video, YouTube may set cookies and collect data according to the Google Privacy Policy.
6. Children
HerWayLife is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
7. Your Rights
The only personal information we store is the email address of readers who subscribe to new stories, and the answers (with optional name and email) that readers choose to send through story question forms. You can ask us to access, correct or delete it at any time. 8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add new tools or affiliate programs. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
